Naadi Pariksha
Nadi Pareeksha is an ancient ayurvedic technique of diagnosis through the pulse. It can accurately diagnose both physical and mental diseases as well as imbalances. It is comprehensive and reaches the root cause of health issues, not merely addressing the symptoms. Nadi Pareeksha forewarns you of potential health risks. It gives you an insight on how to optimize your health in accordance with the elements which are predominant in your body. It provides you with a personalized and individual prognosis which is detailed and accurate. It is very important to understand the full implication of nadi parksha. It is not just to study the venous pulsation in the wrist. Nadi science is the sceience of the nadi or nerves, which includes the study fo life processes that are responsible for living and existence of man. Nadi is said to be jiva sakshi, the evidence of life. Nadi gets influenced by various affects that influence the physiology of the body , especially the three doshas. i.e. Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The dhamani or the nadi mentioned here simply refers to radial artery. Its gati-motion does not merely indicate the rate or the rhythm of the pulse, the size and condition of the arterial wall or the volume of blood that flows through the artery or the force with which the blood flows.
Yogasanas
Derived from the Sanskrit word for 'union', yoga refers to far more than exercise. It encompasses a varity of disciplines designed to ultimately bring its practitioners closer to true nature. Raja yoga seeks reunion through mediation, while Jnana yoga entails the stud y of scriptures and Karma yoga calls for selfness service to God and mankind. At Ayurveda Sanctuary, the exercise are Hata yoga, a discipline intended to prepare the body for the pursuit of union with the divine while raising the practitioners awareness of creation to a higher, keener state. Through Pranayama (controlled breathing), Asana (prescribed postures) and mediation, the Ashtanga yoga master helps one to enhance Prana, or life force, and achieve a state of balance and harmony between body and mind. Each of these three disciplines contributes to the search for union in its own way.
Varmakkalai
It is a component of traditional massage, medicine, and martial arts in which the body's pressure points (varma or marma) are manipulated to heal or cause harm. The healing application called vaidhiya murai is used to treat patients suffering from paralysis, nervous disorder, spondylitis and other conditions. Its combat application is known as varma adi or marma adi, meaning "pressure point striking". Usually taught as an advanced aspect of unarmed Indian fighting systems, strikes are targeted at the nerves, veins, tendons, organs and bone joints According to Ayurveda, there are 107 marma points in the human body. We get a detailed description from Siddha medicine where it is called as VARMAM and it is 108 in number. Marma or Varmam are the vital points in human body which may be a joining place of two bones or two muscles or a muscle with a bone or a passage of ateries/veins/nerves.
